A great few days at the 2025 Association of Building Compliance Conference
This week, the National Hood team had the awesome opportunity to attend the 2025 ABC Conference at the Grand Millennium in Auckland, and what a fantastic event it was, a true gathering of industry changemakers.
Held over two days, the conference brought together professionals from the building compliance world, all united around one key goal; lifting safety standards across Aotearoa. As a company deeply invested in raising the bar, we were thrilled to be part of conversations that matter and feel like we were in good company with our mission.
The theme of this year’s conference, “Unified Compliance, Strengthening Standards Across the BWOF Industry,” really set the tone. From insightful presentations to hands-on workshops and meaningful chats over coffee and delicious food, the vibe was all about collaboration and pushing the industry forward.
More than anything, it was the people that made this conference special. We loved connecting with fellow professionals who are not only knowledgeable but genuinely passionate about improving building safety and shaping better processes for BWOF (Building Warrant of Fitness) systems.
“It was great to be in a room surrounded by some of the industry’s leaders, where we talked all things BWOF,” said Neil Farnworth, National Hood General Manager. “There’s a real sense of alignment on the need for improvement and what stood out to me is how dedicated everyone is to being part of that change. This isn’t just talk, it’s action backed by shared purpose.”
There’s real momentum growing in this space, and it’s encouraging to see so many committed voices coming together.
